Members
of our parish meet several times during the year to plan environment for
the liturgical year. Following these meetings, they come together to
physically prepare our church environment through the changing seasons
and feast days. This work requires imagination, but even more, it
requires some degree of physical agility and stamina to move things
around, set things up, perform cleanup chores, water and move plants,
etc.
If you have some
patience and enjoy a little light physical activity, and find some
spiritual reward in what some may consider "menial" tasks (like
sweeping, vacuuming, etc.) then you may enjoy being a part of the
Environment committee at Blessed Trinity.
Come join us and
find out if you’re called to this rewarding ministry. Our goal is to
prepare and enhance the environment of our new worship space throughout
the changing seasons of the liturgical year
The Environment &
Art committee now is inviting new members. The committee is particularly
interested in those willing and able to do some specific tasks:
-
Will you sandpaper and paint? (small projects)
-
Do you have a "green thumb"? (taking care of plants &
watering)
-
Up the ladder? We need some people (over 21 years
old) who are not afraid of heights, and would be willing to help
with hanging our church banners.
-
Can you give an hour to your parish on a Saturday
morning? We can use help on a weekly basis to ready for weekend
Masses.
We always can use
new volunteers to help with set-up throughout the year, and especially
during Holy Week, Easter, Advent, and Christmas. Beverley White heads
this parish ministry, but you may call Deirdre Sweet in the parish
office to volunteer, or ask questions (407) 277-1702, x 127. |
