Extraordinary Ministers of Holy
Communion are formally instituted acolytes, or may
even be some of the faithful who have been commissioned
according to the prescribed rite, who assist the priest in the
administration of holy communion.
Altar Servers
are lay
ministers – adults and children at least 10 years old – who
assist the priest during the celebration of Eucharist.
Art and Environment Ministry's
goal is
to prepare and enhance the environment of our new worship space
throughout the changing seasons of the liturgical year.
Children's
Liturgy of the
Word at Blessed Trinity is geared for children from Kindergarten
age until the time that a child begins sacramental preparation
for First Communion. It is a celebration of the scripture
especially for children.
Minister's of hospitality
are often the
first human contact a person has as they enter a church.
Christian hospitality and welcome is what our ushers and
greeters seek to offer those who gather for Sunday Eucharist.
Readers proclaim
the Word of God and lead parishioners in the petitions at Mass
in a faith-filled and prayerful manner. Proclamation of the Word
is a special responsibility requiring both a love of Scripture
and comfort speaking in public.
Sacristan's
are a
servant of the assembly whose work takes place "behind the
scenes," as they carefully prepare the worship space for the
community who gathers to celebrate Eucharist.
