What do
bereavement ministers at Blessed Trinity do?
·
Meet with the family to prepare the funeral Mass;
·
Prepare the church for the funeral Mass on the day of the funeral &
assist the family at the funeral Mass;
·
Follow-up with loved ones of the immediate family for one year,
through telephone calls, cards, and sometimes, visits.
Our
bereavement ministers need additional assistance:
·
From adult parishioners who are willing to be trained to be Altar
Servers for weekday morning funerals.
·
From adult parishioners willing to be trained to serve as
sacristans for funerals, or willing to help bereavement ministers set up
the church for funerals (on weekday mornings).

For those who stand in the mysterious privilege
of being called to comfort, there comes an understanding of Jesus’

“Blessed are those who mourn: they shall be comforted.”
